Students at Palmyra Middle School spent the week following clues to uncover the identity of the mischievous Elf roaming the halls of the school. Along the way, students solved puzzles, scanned QR codes, and used critical-thinking skills to make educated guesses about the suspect.
Those who successfully cracked the case earned a fun reward — the chance to pie the Elf during the morning assembly! 🥧😄
A big thank you to Mr. Banta for being a great sport and taking one for the team. Learning, teamwork, and a little holiday fun made for an unforgettable week! 🎄✨

Learning never tasted so sweet! 🍪📐

Hannibal Regional Hospital lab professionals Lindsay and Vicki visited Mrs. Brass’ and Mrs. Freels’ Forensic Science classes to share insights into careers in the medical laboratory field. Students also participated in a hands-on activity learning how to determine their A/B/O blood type using liquid reagents, a little bit of blood, and some glass slides, gaining real-world science experience right in the classroom!
Thank you to Lindsay and Vicki for helping connect classroom learning to future careers! #PantherPrideInTheClassroom @ Palmyra High School

Thursday was a great night for our wrestling program! Our first home dual is in the books, and we faced some pretty tough matchups. As coaches, we obviously love to win—but even more than that, we love seeing every kid on our roster improve each time they step on the mat. That progress gets us even more excited for the season ahead!
Varsity boys went 2-1 again tonight and now sit at 4-2 on the year in duals. Our JV boys wrestled tough as well, showing a lot of grit and growth.
And huge shoutout to our mighty girls team—just three wrestlers, and they won all but one match tonight!
The girls head to Orchard Farm Friday for a tournament, and the boys will follow on Saturday for our first tournament of the season.
Thank you to everyone who came out and supported us tonight! 🧡🖤
Due to weather adjustments, game times have changed:
🧡 Palmyra Girls will now play at 6:00 pm FRIDAY in the Monroe City Middle School Gym.
🖤 Palmyra Boys will compete in the Championship Game at 7:30 pm FRIDAY in the Monroe City High School Gym.
Let’s pack the stands and cheer for the Palmyra Panthers! 🧡🖤

Christmas Around the World in STEM! 🌍🎄
Ms. Reeder’s STEM class has been exploring how different cultures celebrate the holiday season. Students worked in groups to research traditions, foods, and fun facts from eight countries around the globe. 🌍
After gathering their information, each group colored and decorated their section of the map — coming together to create a vibrant “Christmas Around the World” bulletin board! 🎄
Such a fun way to learn geography, culture, and teamwork all in one activity! 🧡🖤 #PantherPrideInTheClassroom @ Palmyra Middle School

Once their “patient” became unresponsive, students called 911 and moved into unconscious Heimlich protocol.
This hands-on training is not only an important safety lesson, but also a Missouri graduation requirement for all high school students. We are proud of our Panthers for taking these skills seriously and learning how to respond in an emergency. 🧡🖤 #PantherPrideInTheClassroom @ Palmyra High School

Mrs. Harper’s 7th grade science classes have been learning all about cells. Today, they brought learning to life and presented their creative hands-on projects to their classmates.
Students built models representing either a plant or animal cell. Their creativity shined, making game boards, sports fields, vehicles, wrestling mats and more!
We are proud of their hard work and imagination. 🧡🖤 #PantherPrideInTheClassroom @ Palmyra Middle School

Our 3rd graders brought history to life during their Famous Missourians Wax Museum Open House — and what an incredible showcase it was!
Students researched influential Missourians, created props and costumes, and stepped into character to share what they have learned with families, staff, and classmates. From athletes and artists to explorers, inventors, and leaders, our gym was filled with Missouri history brought to life in the most creative way.
We are so proud of their hard work, confidence, and excitement for learning. 💫
Thank you to our families for coming out to support our students and celebrate their amazing projects!
Great job, 3rd graders! 👏📚✨
