PES had a great week celebrating Read Across America and Dr. Seuss' birthday! We wrapped up the week today by enjoying Green Eggs and Ham breakfast with families, wearing Red, White and Blue for our final dress up day, and taking the masks off and revealing our masked readers!
The book fair continues thru next Friday and the proceeds from the book fair help us purchase new items for the library and the school! Your support of the book fair and your students love of reading, is truly appreciated!











PHS band performed at Truman State University today in a large ensemble performance and received a rating of Outstanding!

Congratulations to the Region 3 STAR event award winners, and our newly installed VP of Communications.
Students attended the Region 3 Spring Awards and Officer Installation in Macon, MO on Thursday, March 6th. Students and advisers were recognized for their efforts and activities for the school year.
The new region 3 officers were also installed at the meeting. Congrats FCCLA and Ms. Knoche on your successful year!




Bravo bravo bravo! MS drama presented The Rainbow Fish Musical to our Elementary and Middle school students today.
Mrs. Fountain and Mr. Seago invite you to attend the final performance Saturday night, March 8th, at 7 pm in the Middle School gymnasium. Admission is a free-will donation, with proceeds going to the drama department to help support the program.

Brace yourselves Panthers, we will SPRING FORWARD this weekend! Daylight saving time begins on Sunday, March 9 at 2 a.m. local time.
We lose an hour in March, which gives us more daylight in the evenings. In the Northern Hemisphere, the vernal, or spring equinox, is on March 20th, marking the start of the spring season.
Spring sports practices have started and it will soon be a busy time for baseball, golf and track! Poms and Cheer will have tryouts soon. FFA contest season is right around the corner and Quiz Bowl continues their season and has a home game on March 11th. FCCLA, Key Club and FBLA will be attending their state conferences soon and Science Olympiad will have competitors who have qualified for state competition.
Open house and field trips are on the horizon. MS drama will perform The Rainbow Fish Musical on Saturday. Students are planning their schedules for next school year and it will be time for Prom, Field Day, Panther Day and Graduation before we know it!
These are just a few of the wonderful things happening in the district, follow along and we will share with you why it is always a great day to be a Palmyra Panther!

March is Missouri's School Board Recognition Month! Palmyra is fortunate to have an active school board that truly cares about our students, faculty, and community. Our MS and HS Science Olympiad teams competed at Truman State University in Kirksville this weekend at the regional event. We had ten MS and five HS students competing in scientific laboratory based, construction-based, or test-taking events. Those that earned first place earned the opportunity to compete at the state tournament at University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, MO on April 26, 2025.

Our Palmyra Middle School Drama Department will hit the stage Saturday, March 8th at 7 pm to perform Rainbow Fish the Musical in the Middle School gym.
Under the direction of Mrs. Fountain and Mr. Seago, Rainbow Fish the Musical tells the story of a brightly colored fish, the Rainbow Fish, who is admired by all the other sea creatures due to her dazzling, multi-colored scales, but becomes isolated when she refuses to share them, ultimately learning from a wise Octopus that true friendship and happiness come from kindness and sharing, rather than just outward beauty. It is based on the popular children's book by Marcus Pfister.
The cast includes 8th graders Aubree D and Allyson K; 7th graders Callie H, Brielle S, and Addilynn K; 6th graders Gavin C, Kellin S, and Simone R; 5th graders Elsie R, Avery C, Emmalynn J, Brinleigh C, Tyne L, Kallee B, Allie C, and Molly H.
No reservations are required and admission is free-will donation, with all proceeds going to the drama department to help support the program.
