PHS senior decision day was held today at Flower City Park Sesquicentennial building. Thank you to the Palmyra Parks and Recreation for allowing us to use their building today.
Four of our seniors signed this morning since they were scheduled to attend a track meet out of town this afternoon.
We appreciate all the families who attended today supporting their Panther. A Facebook live of the signing is available for viewing. Thank you to rootEd for sponsoring prizes for all of our seniors!
We will cherish our time with our seniors the next 2 weeks as we begin the countdown to graduation on May 15th!











PHS- 5/1/2025- Today's Track Meet in Knox County has been cancelled due to weather.


POSTPONED! Today's baseball game vs Centralia has been postponed to Monday, May 5th. Senior night festivities will start around 4:50 pm with the first pitch to follow at 5 pm at Flower City Park.
We hope to see you Monday night when we honor our seniors, Cade and Lance!


PHS band members recently visited PES 4th graders for the annual Instrument Showcase recruitment event. Students were able to ask questions and listened to the band play a few songs. Students are able to join band when they enter 5th grade, watch for more information during back to school time!

Please join the PHS Band for their spring concert on Thursday, May 8th at 5:30 pm! Due to construction at PHS, the concert will be held at the Palmyra United Methodist Church, located at 1800 South Main Street.

Mark your calendars - T minus 7 days until the annual PAT Truck Rally! Join us Tuesday, May 6th from 5:30 - 7:00 pm in the Palmyra High School parking lot for a night of fun, big trucks and equipment!


Big shout out to the HS Science Olympiad members who competed at state competition this weekend at University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg. Livia, Chloe, and Neo competed against 30 public and private schools from across Missouri in three events.
Livia and Chloe earned 14th place in the Astronomy test.
Livia placed 7th in the Dynamic Planet event.
Chloe and Neo competed in the Ecology event and placed 16th.
We are so proud of these students, they did a fantastic job representing Palmyra High School at state! Thank you also to Mrs. Brass for coaching the students and spending the day with them in Warrensburg!

This week is a very special week for some future Panthers! Today we had a full day of new students who signed on the dotted line and committed to attending kindergarten at Palmyra Elementary in August 2025!
We are looking for more Panthers to join our team for the Class of 2038! If you live in the Palmyra R-1 School District and have a child who will be 5 before August 1st, please call to add your Panther to our roster!








Special Olympics is being held today at PHS due to field construction at Hannibal. It was a beautiful opening ceremony with PHS sophomore, Taylor singing the National Anthem!
Thank you to our cheer and pom squad for welcoming the athletes when they arrived! The Knights of Columbus Color Guard lined the track for the parade of athletes and students will be participating in events throughout the day.
Thank you to all those for making today possible for our local athletes!

PHS golf has a busy week with meets every day and kicking off the week with a little bit of fun! Fore-get fashion rules, our golfers are swinging into today’s meet with their own sense of style! Good luck to this crew bringing both flair and skill to the course today at Norwoods!


3rd graders in Mrs. Reis and Mrs. Johnson's class took their learning outside. They spent time in the outdoor classroom, exploring nature, working together, and bringing their lessons to life under the open sky. We love seeing their curiosity and creativity grow in such a beautiful space! ☀️




Congrats to Mrs. McBride for being recognized as outstanding counselor of the year by the Child Advocacy Center of Northeast Missouri! The organization recognizes counselors that go above and beyond for their students and school! Well deserved honor for Mrs. McBride, we are thankful to call you a Palmyra Panther!




Congrats to our Farm Management team who was announced the state winning team during the closing session at FFA convention Friday night and will compete at National FFA Convention in the fall! Blaydn was 1st overall, Gianna was 2nd, Lynton 12th and Mitchell 13th! Amazing performance team!
We are so proud of all 8 teams who qualified for state and want to share how great they look in their official dress! Thank you Mrs. Haeberlin and Mr. Mahsman for all your hard work during contest season!
