Mrs. Zook is currently the junior high Math and Science teacher at Marion County R-II School. She previously served as the Special Education Coordinator at Marion County, PE and Health teacher for the Hannibal School District.
Mrs. Zook began her career as a Special Education teacher in 2007 after graduating from Hannibal LaGrange University and earned her Masters degree from William Woods University.

Spring break has come to an end - school resumes Monday, March 23.
Also, we will hold a community meeting Monday at 6:00 PM in the PHS gym to discuss school finance legislation and the Homestead Property Tax Credit/Senate Bill 3 that will be on the April ballot.

🧡 Middle School Highlights
The Middle School Science Olympiad team had an exciting day on Saturday with 13 students competing in a variety of events. Every single team member brought home a medal — an incredible accomplishment! 🥇🥈🥉
The team earned:
🏆 2nd Place Overall Team Trophy
🥇 3 First-Place finishes
🥈 10 Second-Place finishes
🥉 3 Third-Place finishes
🏅 2 Fifth-Place finishes
They will advance to the state competition in April — way to go, Panthers! 🧡🖤
🖤 High School Highlights
The High School Science Olympiad team also had an incredibly successful regional competition, earning Top 5 finishes in 16 of the 19 events they competed in!
Their accomplishments include:
🥇 5 Gold Medals
🏆 4th Place Team Trophy
🎉 Qualification to represent PHS at the State Competition in April

We had 5 members finish in the Top 12 for the tournament — an incredible accomplishment! The B Team battled hard to a 4-2 record and brought home 3rd place, while the A Team went a perfect 6-0, finishing undefeated! 🥇✨

Parent & Community Presentation: Stop Trafficking Project 📢
Palmyra R-1 School District invites parents, guardians, and community members to attend an important Stop Trafficking community presentation focused on online safety, digital exploitation, and human trafficking prevention. Information has been emailed to families regarding this program on January 16 and January 30.
This presentation for adults will address:
Online dangers facing today’s students, including social media, gaming platforms, and messaging apps.
How traffickers and predators use the internet to groom, manipulate, and exploit youth.
Warning signs of online grooming and unsafe digital interactions.
Practical steps families can take to protect students online.
How to start open, age-appropriate conversations with children about internet safety.
The Stop Trafficking Project emphasizes education, awareness, and prevention, helping students and adults recognize risky online behaviors and know when—and how—to seek help.
