✨ 18 years in education
🍎 Favorite Thing About Teaching Kindergarten:
My favorite thing about teaching kindergarten is watching the incredible growth that happens in just one year. Students come in learning the basics, and by the end of the year they’re reading, writing, and solving problems with confidence. I love helping them build that strong foundation while also fostering a love for school and learning.
📚 Favorite Children’s Book/Author:
One of my favorite children’s books is The Wonky Donkey by Craig Smith. I love this book because it brings so much joy and laughter into the classroom. Most importantly, it creates a shared, fun experience.
🎉 Fun Fact:
I grew up a very competitive, dedicated, and loyal Monroe City Panther and I can now say I am a very proud Palmyra Panther! Watching my two children be part of this school has made that pride even deeper, and you’ll often find me on the sidelines cheering them on—along with every single Palmyra Panther.
❤️ What Families Can Expect in Kindergarten:
Families can expect a year full of growth, learning, and fun! Students will work on building foundational skills in reading, writing, and math, while also learning how to be independent, kind, and responsible in the classroom. There will be lots of hands-on activities, opportunities to celebrate student growth along the way. I look forward to meeting all incoming Kindergarten students and families!
