The Varsity Scholar Bowl team had a strong performance at this year's final competition, the District Tournament at Van-Far on Saturday. The team went 3-1 for the day, winning against South Shelby, Van-Far, and Mark Twain in the preliminary rounds and making it to the semi-finals where we lost to Elsberry by only 50 points.
Congratulations to Joseph Mahsman and Chloe Welch for earning All-District honors! Joe had the 3rd highest individual score and Chloe had the 5th highest.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Night of the Arts! Join PES students Monday night in a show of their artistic, musical and performance skills! Mrs. Breitling, Mrs. Orr and so many more, have been working hard to transform PES into an art gallery! Musical performances will be held in the gym. Fun art activities are also planned!
The Palmyra FBLA Broadcast Journalism team is presenting a local news broadcast at FBLA state competition and is putting the finishing touches on their project today. Allie, Lynton and Laura showcased their broadcast this morning to staff and students. Students interviewed community members regarding the water crisis in Palmyra last year and created a video for this contest. They also created the Channel P News logo and microphone covers for the event.
Good luck to this team and all FBLA members competing in the state contest!
Early Childhood teachers, Mrs. Harris and Mrs. Schindler were recently awarded a grant from the Missouri Farm Bureau allowing them to enhance the Farm and Garden lessons in their classroom!
One of the favorite new projects was planting grass in miniature front yards and taking care of the seeds while waiting for it to grow. They learned songs that went along with taking care and growing seeds. The greenhouses will go home with each student and they can continue caring for their front yards at home!
More favorites were new interactive farm books, new farm themed additions to the sensory table and a pop up barn and tractor for the play center.
Thank you Missouri Farm Bureau for supporting our school and for helping increase agriculture education in the classroom!
Anatomy class and Ms. Freels spent time discussing dissection and were able to get some hands on experience dissecting a heart. Students were able to observe first hand the structures they learned about in class!

Unfortunately due to rain that just popped up, the high school home track meet has been canceled this afternoon.
High School track is at home today and we will celebrate our SENIORS! Senior recognition will begin at 3:45. Congrats to Clare, Daniel, Cody, Evan & Shane!

FBLA sponsor Mr. Frankenbach and 16 students will be attending the State Leadership Conference beginning Sunday in Springfield, MO. The Future Business Leaders will compete in 15 different events and 8 of the contests are presentation based. Students had a practice session last night with the Business Advisory Council to prepare. Special thanks to the community members and teachers who gave their time last night to provide our students a live audience.

Congrats to our high school art students attending the Clarence Cannon Conference Art Show at Truman State University today. Mr. Walker and students will have the opportunity to view a slide show of all submitted artwork, attend workshops and finally view the gallery of all student work, listen to judges critiques and awards will be given out at the end of the show.
Way to go Danica, Chloe, Eva, Leena, Lily and Aiden. Thank you for sharing your talents with the CCC and PHS!
At the Middle School, Mrs. Hillman's 5th grade social studies class has been discussing the Bill of Rights. Today they used their knowledge and participated in a mock trial. In the trial, Goldilocks was accused of trespassing and property damage. We await the verdict and hope that justice is served in the end.
Palmyra Panther Summer Sports Camp forms are available online (District Web page under NEWS) and also in each school office. Boys basketball forms are due this Friday, April 11th. Girls basketball due April 25th. All other camp forms due May 5th.
All grade levels are based on the 2025-2026 school year. Please note: golf camp is for grades 4th - 9th.

March Madness has ended and did you guess which mammal would be the winner? Mrs. Brass and Mrs. Harper crowned the student winners of March Mammal Madness in their science classes and several of the finalists correctly chose the Polar Bear as the victor!
Congrats to Dominic who was crowned champion at the high school and to co-champs of the middle school, Lydia S and Laney! Congrats also to those who were the class winners and to everyone who participated and learned more about the mammals living in the world with us!
Palmyra 6th grade students, Bradey, Tayleigh, Simone and Eddison, along with Mrs. Breitling, attended the NEMO 6th Grade Honor Choir today. Our Panthers rehearsed this afternoon with 320 area students from northeast MO and presented a concert for friends and family in Moberly. Proud of everyone for their hard work and making such beautiful music!
FFA finished up district competition today and will be sending 8 teams to State FFA convention later this month!

Paws Drink Cart entrepreneurs on a roll! This school year, Ms. Barrett's 4th grade students have enjoyed creating special drinks, taking orders, and making and delivering them every Friday. These 4th graders have been working on real life skills by following drink recipe instructions, giving change to customers, and using their social skills when they deliver. They have also loved creating specialty drinks for each holiday and the Superbowl! You can guarantee to be met with a smile when they deliver your drink every Friday! 🙂
