Palmyra R-1 Athletics kicks off an exciting fall season this Saturday! 🐾🧡🖤 Parent meetings and scrimmages will take place during the afternoon for several of the sports. See the flyer for specific dates and times.

It was great to see our Senior Panthers at registration and enjoyed seeing them dressed up for their Senior composite photos! Families will receive a proof from Wagner Portrait Group (via email or text) and will need to log in to choose a pose for the Yearbook within 10 days of image publication online. 📸

We are in the home stretch! 🏁 Crews have been working hard all summer at the Elementary and Middle School campuses, and we are excited to share that everything is on track to be ready before the first day of school on August 20th! 🛠️📚
The High School projects will be ongoing with the hope that the kitchen and classrooms will be finished by early to mid-
September. The locker rooms and gymnasium will be the final projects completed and that will fall in mid-
October.

Congratulations to our track athletes who qualified for the Spring 2025 Academic All State List!
Mrs. Haeberlin has been busy sharpening her skills—literally—by learning how to process hogs. 🐖 She attended the MVATA Summer Institute to learn how to process hogs in the classroom. The class was taught by Ms. Leykamp, who is an agriculture teacher at Montgomery County.
This hands-on training ensures students will get real-world experience in the classroom. Mrs. Haeberlin walked through the steps on how to process a hog, both with meat lab equipment and without. This included the break down of a carcass into primal and then retail cuts, making ground meat, sausage, and brats.
Learning never stops when you are preparing the next generation! Our teachers stay busy during the summer with unique learning opportunities like this and always preparing for the new school year!
This year, our Back to School Immunization clinic will be held on the same day as the registration day for incoming 8th and 12th graders.

We want to say how proud we are of Mr. Frankenbach, Lynton, Allie, and Laura! The PHS FBLA Broadcast Journalism team had a great year. They placed 2nd at the District 7 FBLA Leadership Conference, which led to their 2nd place finish at the Missouri State FBLA Leadership Conference, which took them to the National FBLA Leadership Conference this week. Making the top 16 teams was an amazing finish to their season 🌟!
While they didn’t advance to the Top 10 for on-stage recognition, their hard work, dedication, and professionalism shone throughout the competition. Representing our school and community on a national level is an outstanding achievement, and we could not be more proud.
