Palmyra R-1 School District invites parents, guardians, and community members to attend an important Stop Trafficking community presentation focused on online safety, digital exploitation, and human trafficking prevention. Information has been emailed to families regarding this program on January 16 and January 30.
This presentation for adults will address:
Online dangers facing today’s students, including social media, gaming platforms, and messaging apps.
How traffickers and predators use the internet to groom, manipulate, and exploit youth.
Warning signs of online grooming and unsafe digital interactions.
Practical steps families can take to protect students online.
How to start open, age-appropriate conversations with children about internet safety.
The Stop Trafficking Project emphasizes education, awareness, and prevention, helping students and adults recognize risky online behaviors and know when—and how—to seek help.

In a nook that gets fuller each day,
Lives our legendary Lost & Found display.
Hoodies waiting, side by side,
Like they went on a field trip and never got a ride.
Water bottles dreaming of one more sip,
Lunch bags hoping for a final trip.
Jackets hanging in every shade,
Wondering why their owners never came.
So take a peek, come look around—
Your missing stuff wants to be found!
Claim a coat, a bottle, a pack…
Help these lonely items get back on track!

Mrs. Harper’s 7th grade science classes have been learning all about cells. Today, they brought learning to life and presented their creative hands-on projects to their classmates.
Students built models representing either a plant or animal cell. Their creativity shined, making game boards, sports fields, vehicles, wrestling mats and more!
We are proud of their hard work and imagination. 🧡🖤 #PantherPrideInTheClassroom @ Palmyra Middle School
